Here's a photo of me at work last week—at my "real" job that pays so many of my ongoing rehabbing bills!
I was hired over 26 years ago by Delta to speak German (which I studied at university) on their international flights... as well as to serve lots and lots of beverages and peanuts! (And yes, there are still even meals served on international flights.)
This photo is for a little TV segment that will probably air in March (exact date still unknown), on HGTV's show You Live in What? about unique home conversions. HGTV found the Bank on VRBO.com and contacted me about featuring it, plus featuring me as the owner/rehabber. Besides filming in Petersburg, they also wanted a picture of me at my normal job, as that was part of the story.
We filmed in Petersburg in October—all day long, for a little four-minute segment! It felt awkward to have a camera pointing at me all day, but I was grateful for the opportunity, which was truly heaven-sent. God has been so faithful. "His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22–23)
