Ten days ago I was in Manchester, UK (see photo above), where they had a German-style Christmas market. (One of the perks of my job as a flight attendant: Great layovers!)
People there were enjoying hot spiced beverages, potato pancakes, bratwurst, and the wonderful atmosphere under the festive Christmas lights.
That atmosphere is similar to what's going on at the Creation Museum on Friday and Saturday nights in December: lights, festivities, fun... and they're calling it New Christmas Town. Only here, Christ is at the center of the celebration, with a live nativity. Such beautiful light displays! Their Garden of Lights is "the most spectacular display in the tri-state area" according to their website—and it's free! They also feature a live nativity and $5 admission after 5 PM to the museum on Christmas Town nights.
Come to Petersburg, Kentucky, and check it out. We have one weekend available at the Bank lodging: December 14–16, and we just had a cancellation over Christmas—if you're looking for an impromptu Christmas vacation destination. Happy December and enjoy the lights!
"The people who walk in darkness will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on them." (Isaiah 9:2, NASB)
