Better Than a Hotel

Why is a guesthouse better than a hotel? Lots of reasons!

Just like in a hotel, you arrive to fresh towels and clean beds ready to use. Also, just like in a hotel, you don't have to clean up when you leave—my wonderful cleaning team (led by Candy) takes care of the laundry when you go.

But better than a hotel are the little touches, like the claw foot tub in this photo, as well as other antiques here and there. A kitchen full of pots and pans, a crock pot, toaster, coffee maker, and dishes for your use in preparing family meals—and saving money while doing it yourself!

Also, there are laundry facilities, in case you want to take care of that mound of laundry before you get home. (Is it me, or does it take a week to recover from vacation?)

Staying in one of my guesthouses makes the whole trip an adventure, even your overnight accommodations. Hotels certainly have their place, and I've stayed in hotel rooms more than a thousand times in my 26+ years as a flight attendant.

Maybe that's why I appreciate a home atmosphere so much more... and I hope you do, too!

    About Deborah

As the owner of Deborah's Guesthouses, I lived 15 years  in the tiny town of Petersburg, Kentucky. I believe God called me to Petersburg in 1998, and eventually He led me to open several guesthouses for families staying in the area. And what a joy it has turned out to be!
